#sotellmewhy trending on twitter

You know Twitter? It's where people tweet-ing. yeah. You know Twitter.

So, I checked out the trends on Twitter in Malaysia. The top trending one currently is #sotellmewhy. It reminds me of something.

Well, sometimes not every WHY has a reason. Sometimes you just need to accept it without asking WHY. Everything has it own reason WHY it happened indeed. It just that we know or we don't know, we don't have to know, or we don't know yet

What had happened to me was when someone asked me about something that I know but I could not explain. It made me frustrated to not play my roles to deliver the truth.

Long time ago, there was an old Chinese man who's interested in Islam. I met him while waiting at dentist's. He asked me so many things that I could not explain because he can't understand Bahasa Melayu. That time, I wasn't good enough at English to explain those. That was the point when I started to learn English seriously. I realize it was vital nowadays and in future. That was how I fell for English, ended up doing TESL.

When I did Foundation in TESL at UiTM Shah Alam, I was involved in the program of student exchange from Korea. Let me tell you something that I cannot forget (besides the handsome Han-Gyeul oppa *grin*):

Korean girl : Nur, why are you wearing this head cover? (tunjuk shawl yang aku pakai)

me : Because I am a Muslim. My religion told me to do so.

Korean girl : Ahhh~ (orang Korea express oh~) Then she is not Muslim? (tunjuk someone, who is Malay and Muslim but didn't wear tudung)

me : She is.

Korean girl : *looked confuse* Why she didn't wear this?

me : *muka blur* (tak tau macam mana nak terangkan) Because.....she doesn't want to.

Korean girl : It's okay to not wear it? It's not a sin?

me : No. It is compulsory and a sin if you don't wear it.

Korean girl : *getting more confused*

a girl from nowhere : You can wear it when you're ready. *explain to the Korean girl*

Korean girl : Ahhh~ *angguk-angguk*

Is it the answer? Is it the best answer to explain our religion? Who have a better answer? Anyone?

perkakas belajar jauh dari rumah

What it feels to study far from home? Live far away from family?

This time it is really far. Klang-Johor. Skudai precisely. I've never been as far as this since Seremban tempat paling jauh pernah aku stay untuk belajar. When I was offered by UTM to pursue my degree there, the first thing came across my mind was, how on earth am I going to bring all my stuffs. I really mean it. ALL. And for those who really knows me, yeah, give me that O face.

I am well known to be someone who wants to bring everything everywhere. Like seriously. Benda ni macam sejak azali. And I've repeated stating this in this blog again and again. DAH MEMANG AKU RASA BENDA BENDA TU SEMUA AKU PATUT BAWAK KALAU TAK NANTI HIDUP AKU DALAM KESUSAHAN DAH LAH JAUH DARI KELUARGA nanti rasa forever alone~

So, for this journey, I plan to bring, all my shoes (10 pairs), baju kurung is a must (14 pairs all together), all my bags (each and every bag I have), one extra tilam nipis, 2 sets of comforter, a luggage of pakaian harian, a beg of shawls/selendang/tudung, set electronic (laptop, phone chargers, cerek, seterika, lampu belajar, MP3), set baldi, 1 kotak buku, 1 kotak perkakas-perkakas lain and the list goes on. (you probably not interested to know EVERY SINGLE THING).

To make it short, it turns out to be this way . . .

before

after :) #phew

make that O face again, I'll slap you.

OH! I did shopping at JJ Taman U the day of registration for kain buruk, set penyapu, tissues, foods (a must), some other stuffs (can't remember). And this is all perkakas for those who is like me-sediakan payung sebelum hujan.
